An indulgent breakfast or brunch. Crumpets fried in a sweet egg mixture, topped with a generous amount of Nutella.
Apparently 5th February is World Nutella Day! So I couldn’t help but want to make an indulgent Nutella recipe. This is a super simple recipe for you to try and is based on a traditional french toast recipe, coating the crumpets in a sweetened egg mixture before frying and adding your toppings.
I must admit I’m a sucker for crumpets, they’re always in my weekly shop! Anyone else out there a crumpet lover? Testing out the french toast style crumpet seemed perfectly fitting!
What other toppings would you try? I must admit I’ve tried Biscoff and banana too which was amazing! Let me know what you think of this recipe and if you have given it a try by leaving a comment below!
