Mocha Porridge

28th February 2021

For any chocolate and coffee lovers out there, the perfect combo for any day of the week!

Let’s be honest, how often do we break away from tour usual breakfast options. I know I have porridge probably 5-6 times a week. But one thing I do like doing is varying the flavours of my porridge with basic store cupboard ingredients!

So what have I used;

  • Oats
  • Cocoa powder
  • Instant coffee
  • Maple syrup
  • Salt
  • Nut butter
  • Choc chips

I use maple syrup to sweeten, it adds a lovely caramel flavour perfect with the chocolate and coffee, you can sub this for another liquid sweetener of your choice like agave or honey or a tbsp unrefined sugar (I like Billington’s Golden Caster Sugar).

Now the toppings, I used Livia’s Dunx Dip Caramel Almond Swirl drizzled on top for a sweet, nutty topping, followed by some dark chocolate chips, which melt making the most luxurious bowl of oats!
