Simple, chocolate chunk baked oats with a gooey, melted dark chocolate centre. Dairy- free.
These definitely turned out better than I expected. I thought I was eating dessert for breakfast, and I’m not complaining about it! I was almost tempted to call them baked cookie dough pots, but I thought no they’re just exceptionally tasty baked oats and I want you all to experience what I did!
This recipes gives the perfect texture to your baked oats… set on top and perfectly, creamy and gooey inside! It’s surprising just how simple these are to make:
- Protein Powder
- Mashed banana
- Chocolate chips
Now can we talk about the centre. It was a last minute decision for me to add an extra chunk of dark chocolate to the centre and oh boy, I’m glad I did. It took these outs from 10/10 to an 11! If you actually fancy these for dessert you 100% have to do it. I’m actually going to make this again but with a big blob of Biscoff spread in the centre too.
I topped mine with a few banana slices too, after all it was breakfast and I thought it best to add a little fruit.

Chocolate chunk baked oats
Simple, chocolate chunk baked oats with melted dark chocolate centre. Dairy- free.
40g porridge oats
25g scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
80g ripe banana
120ml unsweetened almond milk
20g dark chocolate chips
(Optional) 1 square of dark chocolate to place in the centre
- Preheat the oven to 180°c and lightly grease a large ramekin or skillet.
- Add the oats, protein powder, baking powder and salt and stir through.
- Mash the banana, add to the bowl, followed by the milk and chocolate chips, fold together until combined.
- Spoon into prepared dish, if adding in the chocolate centre, push this into the centre and cover over with a little of the mixture.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
